Clear Strategy Screen I HT-96
MD1-31

Datasheet : Download

Unique to Molecular Dimensions.
Clear Strategy Screen I (CSS-1)1 is the first of two high-throughput screens exclusive to Molecular Dimensions.
CSS-I is a simple, flexible and efficient screen that can be used in sitting drop, hanging drop and sandwich experiments. This screen tests a range of salts and PEGs and is cryoprotected.

The screen contains 96 x 1.1 mL reagents in as SBS standard deep-well block.

Clear Strategy Screen II HT-96
MD1-32

Datasheet : Download

Unique to Molecular Dimensions.
Clear Strategy Screen II (CSS-II) is designed to offer a more individual and alternative approach to crystallization problems. Although driven by slightly different principles, CSS-I and CSS-II should be seen as self-complementary screens that may be used instead of other commercially available screens, thereby halving the number of initial trials required.
These screens test a range of salts and PEGs and is cryoprotected. These Molecular Dimensions screens are part of the automation strategy at the MRC LMB Cambridge, and are widely used by many of our customers.

The screen contains 96 x 1.1 mL reagents in as SBS standard deep-well block.

Heavy + Light (3D structure screen) twin pack HT-96
MD1-35

Datasheet : Download

Our Heavy + Light Twin Pack HT-96 is formulated for growing protein crystals in the metastable zone using the vapour difusion technique .
This method is presented as an HT 96-deep well block sparse matrix crystal growth screen which allows 24 “nucleation” (Heavy) conditons and 24 “backed-off” (Light) conditions for crystal growth to be tried.

The screen contains 96 x 1.1 mL reagents in as SBS standard deep-well block.

PACT premier HT-96
MD1-36

Datasheet : Download

PACT premier (commercialized under licence which contributes back to the originator's research) - taking the popular systematic PEG/Ion approach and extended by adding the pH parameter. This is actually 3 screens in one box; the first part is a pH / PEG screen with broad range buffers thus maintaining consistent buffer chemistry across the pH range. The second and third parts test cations and anions respectively in the presence of PEG.
When used together with JCSG Plus (JCSG+) as a primary screening strategy this combination is extremely powerful and successful, being a combination of a modern sparse matrix approach and an information yielding systematic trial.
The screen contains 96 x 1.1 mL reagents in an SBS standard deep-well block.

Keywords: PACT Screen, crystallization of proteins, Peg/Ion Screen, Newman et al, Protein structure determination.
