A dedicated instrument offering a simple fully automated solution to lipidic cubic phase (LCP) crystallization screening.

Mosquito LCP provides significant benefits over manual processes due to the use of its unique disposable tip technology. For the precipitant additions step, this not only guarentees zero cross-contamination but eliminates the need for time-consuming tip washing. Subsequently, high throughput rates of more than teelve plates are easily achieved and due to the column by column dispensing pattern, evaposration of the dispensed LCP is minimised.
The instrument combines high throughput, high precision and unrivalled reproducibiliy. The additional programmable syringe module can also be used for zero loss dispensing of protein solutions or other expensive/highly viscous additives. The mosqutio LCP is a compact bench-top instrument able to fit in anywhere as a valuable, versatile addition to any membrane protein crystallization lab.

Benefits of the mosqutio LCP:

Uses a positive displacement syringe for accurate and repeatable dispensing of the LCP down to volumes of 50 nL.
Automatically measures and calibrates the position of the syringe needle tip to within +/- 20µm to facilitate precise coincident drop placement.
Has disposable positive displacment mosqutio tips that guarentee zero cross contamination of solutions and eliminate slow wash steps.
Minimises evaposration loss of the dispensed LCP.
High throughput - at lest 12 plates per hour.
