The Pittsburgh Diffraction Conference is the oldest diffraction related conference in North America. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers in all areas of fundamental and applied diffraction and crystallographic research to present current topics. All are invited to submit a poster abstract.

Registration covers the scientific lectures, lunch, an opening reception on September 30th and a banquet on October 1 st. Registration is only $20 for students and postdocs.l

Chung Soo Yoo Award

Student poster abstracts may be considered for an oral presentation and are eligible for the Chung Soo Yoo Award. The Chung Soo Yoo Award is a cash prize given to a graduate student presenting the best poster in the annual Conference.

Sidhu Award

The PDS is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Sidhu Award: www.pittdifsoc.orgl/sidhu_award.htm. The Sidhu Award, in memory of Professor Surhain Sidhu, is a $2000 cash award for significant contributions to the science of crystallography and/or diffraction by an outstanding scientist within six (6) years of earning a Ph.D.

The conference will precede the 2012 SSRL/LCLS Users' Meeting
October 3rd - 6th.
